If anyone asks who the second best golfer in Bangladesh is after Siddikur Rahman, the answer will definitely be Zamal Hossain Mollah, because of his achievements in international and domestic circuit.
The scorching sun may have tested the resolve of many of the professional golfers in Badsha Cup BGCC Open 2017 greatly in Bhatiary Golf & Country Club (BGCC) in Chittagong, but Zamal stood tall and weathered the conditions to come out with a winner’s trophy. The 32-year-old golfer finished with an aggregate score of 11-under-par and pocketed a paycheque of Tk 145,000.
Mohammad Muaj (Mojnu) from Savar became second with a score of four-under-par. A total of 75 golfers, 58 of them professionals, took part in this event.
