The Tiger Golf Club (TGC) hosted their 4th international friendship Golf
Tournament at Antalya, Turkiye from August 12-16, 2022.

Around 50 golfers of the Tiger Golf Club including Kedar Lele, Executive Director HUL & Chairman Unilever Bangladesh, expats and business community leaders and local Turkish players played there to celebrate the spirit of golf and friendship between the two nations with the motto, “Swing for a Change”.

The golfers played two rounds of golf at the Cullinan Links Golf Club in Antalya which is the only golf course in Turkiye with the sea on one side and a river on the other. Following the Double Peoria system of scoring, Maj Gen (Retd) Sheik Md Monirul Islam was awarded the title of the winner, while Syed A.Q.M. Zahid from Bangladesh won the runner-up trophy.

Among the ladies, Yasmin Rahman was awarded the title of the winner, while Ms Yan won the runner-up trophy. Peter Korose finished with the best score of the tournament.

The tour was led by the ambassador HE Mustafa Osman Turan, supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Bangladesh.

The vice-president of Tiger Golf Club, Manzur Qader, and Peter Ko, Golf captain coordinated the tour along with other executive members of the club. The partners & sponsors for the tour were Abdul Monem Group of Companies, Paragon Group, Runner Group, Sajeeb Group, DK Group, and Lusaka Group.

Vice President of the club especially thanked Ambassador HE Mustafa Osman Turan and Kurmitola Golf Club Dhaka for doing the onground coordination for this event. The club announced their 5th International Friendship Golf Tournament in Indonesia in December 2022 in association with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Bangladesh.

Tiger Golf Club started its journey in 2009. The members of this club include foreign expats, diplomats, as well as local enthusiasts. DDGA and TGC conduct tournaments regularly. They also arrange farewell tournaments for those departing the country. DDGA and TGC organize at least 2/3 three tournaments each quarter. They have a program of organising tournaments in different countries and through this initiative diplomats and expats are able to take home good memories of Bangladesh and Bangladesh golf.
