Siddik finishes joint 43rd in Korea

Bangladesh golfer Siddikur Rahman jumped 12 places on the final day to finish joint 43rd in the US$1,067,000 (approximately) 38th GS Caltex Maekyung Open Golf Championship at the Namseoul Country Club course in South Korea on Monday. The two-time Asian Tour winner aggregated six-over-par 290 to share his position with two other golfers after carding an even-par 71 on the final day. He started the day from joint 55th place, having an overnight score of six-over-par 219. South Korea’s Taehee Lee claimed the trophy on home soil after prevailing on the third extra hole to claim his first Asian Tour title. Lee, who shared an overnight four-shot lead with Finland’s Janne Kaske, was locked in a tight battle with the Finnish throughout the day as they closed the day with matching even-par 71s to tie on nine-under-par 275 after the end of regulation play.
