In thirty years of coaching, the first question I ask every new student is simple: what ball do you
play?
Most cannot answer. They play whatever is in their bag — a mix of brands, models, conditions. And that one habit is costing them shots every round.
Why consistency matters
Here is why this matters. Every time you hit a golf ball, your brain remembers the feeling. Over time, your body learns exactly how far that ball will go. It learns how it feels on the putter. It learns how it behaves around the green.
This only works if you use the same ball every time.
Switch balls mid-round and that learning stops. Your short game suffers most — and the short game is where scores are made and lost.
One ball. Every round. Do not switch, even if you find a better one in the rough. Pocket it and finish with what you started. This single habit will improve your score more than almost anything
else.
Why Dhaka changes the equation
Most advice about golf balls is written for temperate climates — Britain, the United States, northern Europe. Dhaka is not those places. The heat and humidity here affect how a ball performs in ways that genuinely matter to your game.
In high temperatures, the air is less dense and ball flight changes. Balls that perform well in cooler conditions do not always behave the same way here. Two things stood out.

it, every single round.
Second, the balls that performed best for conditions like Dhaka were not always the ones with the biggest marketing budgets. Independent data has a way of cutting through advertising.
What this means for golfers in Bangladesh

The Tour Soft suits golfers who want more distance off the tee — the MGS data placed it in the top group for driver carry across the entire 48-ball field.
The TruFeel surprised me. For a lower-priced Titleist, its numbers for iron ball flight were among the best in the entire test. For golfers on a tighter budget who still want a consistent urethane ball, that finding is worth knowing.
The one thing to take away
Pick a ball you can source reliably. Play it every round. Do not switch.
Independent data now gives us better answers than we have ever had before about which ball to choose. For golfers here in Bangladesh, those answers point clearly toward what is already available to you.
