Munna Mia and Zakia Sultana emerged champions in their respective categories as the National Amateur Ranking Tournament 2026 (Phase 2) concluded at Savar Golf Club on Saturday.
Munna clinched the men’s title after carding a three-day aggregate of 208, eight-under-par, while Zakia secured the women’s crown with a two-day total of 149, five-over-par.
Abdul Kader of the Bangladesh national golf team finished runner-up in the men’s category with an aggregate score of 214, two-under-par.
 Organised by the Bangladesh Golf Federation with the support of Savar Golf Club, the three-day, 54-hole tournament began on August 27 and featured 91 golfers—84 men and seven women. A total of 52 golfers qualified for the final round following the opening two days of competition.
Major General Molla Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Area Commander of Savar Area and president of Savar Golf Club, attended the prize-giving ceremony as chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners.
Major General Md Masud Razzaq (retd), vice-president (operations) of the Bangladesh Golf Federation, Brigadier General Abidur Reza Khan (retd), tournament director, and Brigadier General Md Sajjad Hossain, chairman of the tournament committee, were also present.
The tournament provided emerging amateur golfers with an opportunity to compete at a high level and earn valuable ranking points while contributing to the development of the sport in Bangladesh.
