Bangladeshi professional golfer Afshan Anis is set to compete in two consecutive Asian Development Tour (ADT) events in Egypt, marking his return to international competitive golf after a lengthy absence.
The Egypt Golf Series 13 will take place at Madinaty Golf Club in Cairo from September 23 to 26, followed by the Egypt Golf Series 14 at the same venue from September 28 to October 1.
Each tournament will offer a prize purse of $125,000.
According to the organisers, professional and emerging golfers from more than 40 countries across Asia, the Middle East and other regions are expected to participate in the two international events.
Afshan will represent Bangladesh in both tournaments, which will serve as an important step in his return to the international circuit.
Calling it an honour to represent Bangladesh on the global stage, Afshan sought the prayers and support of his compatriots. He hopes to deliver a strong performance for the country and help enhance Bangladesh’s presence in international golf.
