My son studies in KG-II at the Scholastica School. He has been here at the Leadbetter Golf Academy since its beginning. He likes the environment at the golf club. He enjoys it so much that he even asks his classmates to come and enjoy the game. I also love the environment and the fact that the kids enjoy it here. So I’m not thinking about getting him into any other sport currently. I would like other kids to come here and enjoy it. The instructors here are really nice and they have degrees in golf training.

He’s been here for the past two and a half months and he is really enjoying the environment. The instructors are very friendly and he has formed a bond with them. I like mostly the discipline of the game and the place itself. Hence I want him to continue with golf. He will play other sports, but golf will be his main focus.

My son joined this academy recently. Although I heard about it quite a while ago, we couldn’t make it before due to other engagements. He is very excited about it and wants to come here all the time. We know golf is a very popular game worldwide, but still not very popular in Bangladesh. I personally like the game very much. The environment that this club offers is something that we don’t get elsewhere. The trainers are very friendly too. It’s a great thing for all of us who are not members yet can bring their children here. We would like to thank the person who initiated the school and the academy. We would hope that other parents also bring their children here. Lot of kids play cricket and football, but this game has given us parents a new opportunity to find a sporting avenue for their kids.

I have brought both my children to the Leadbetter School for golf training. To be honest, there are very few recreational opportunities for children in Bangladesh. Bringing them to the golf club gives them the opportunity for recreation and they can enjoy the nature and the clean air. If they can take the game professionally then it will be great. They are here for the past few weeks and they are enjoying it thoroughly. We will evaluate a few weeks later how much they are improving. I hope such initiatives will be taken by other people and other companies, not only in golf, but also in other sports.
Fayyaz Ahmed Mostafa, father of Samara Malek Mostafa.
My daughter is in class II and she’s seven years old. I myself started playing golf when I was nine years old. We were the very few who used to play back in the day. When we learnt the game we had to play with clubs and ball, there was no one to help us with the techniques. But now that we have an academy here, she can learn from the best.
Golf is a game that you can continue for the rest of your life. In other sports, you have to give up, mostly due to the knees and the back, after a certain age. But you can play golf for long. Besides, golf is good for networking. However, golf is just one part of her extra-curricular activities; she is doing a lot of other things as well. The Leadbetter Academy opening a kids’ school has been a good thing as there are latest technologies and equipments being used here. We appreciate the initiative and the most important thing is Samara is enjoying it.
