The 5th Anwar Ispat-Anwar Cement Captain Golf Tournament was recently held at the Army Golf Club in Dhaka.
A total of 720 amateur golfers participated in five categories – senior, junior, regular, ladies and veteran.
Major General Nayeem Ashfaq Chowdhury emerged overall champion.
Nazrul Islam became veteran champion, Giasuddin emerged senior champion, Fatema Motiur finished ladies champion and Sheikh Samir Hossain became junior champion.
Bangladesh Army Chief General S M Shafiuddin Ahmed distributed prizes among the winners at the end of the four-day event.
