Rule 1: The Game (The Rules of Golf)

(The Official Rules of Golf appear here courtesy of the USGA, are used with permission, and may not be reprinted without the permission of the USGA.)

1-1. General

The Game of Golf consists of playing a ball with a club from the teeing ground into the hole by a stroke or successive strokes in accordance with the Rules.

1-2. Exerting Influence on Movement of Ball or Altering Physical Conditions

A player must not (i) take an action with the intent to influence the movement of a ball in play or (ii) alter physical conditions with the intent of affecting the playing of a hole.

Exceptions:
1. An action expressly permitted or expressly prohibited by another Rule is subject to that other Rule, not Rule 1-2.
2. An action taken for the sole purpose of caring for the course is not a breach of Rule 1-2.

*PENALTY FOR BREACH OF RULE 1-2:
Match play – Loss of hole; Stroke play – Two strokes.
*In the case of a serious breach of Rule 1-2, the Committee may impose a penalty of disqualification.

Note 1: A player is deemed to have committed a serious breach of Rule 1-2 if the Committee considers that the action taken in breach of this Rule has allowed him or another player to gain a significant advantage or has placed another player, other than his partner, at a significant disadvantage.

Note 2: In stroke play, except where a serious breach resulting in disqualification is involved, a player in breach of Rule 1-2 in relation to the movement of his own ball must play the ball from where it was stopped, or, if the ball was deflected, from where it came to rest.

If the movement of a player’s ball has been intentionally influenced by a fellow-competitor or other outside agency, Rule 1-4 applies to the player (see Note to Rule 19-1).

1-3. Agreement to Waive Rules

Players must not agree to exclude the operation of any Rule or to waive any penalty incurred.

PENALTY FOR BREACH OF RULE 1-3:
Match play – Disqualification of both sides; Stroke play – Disqualification of competitors concerned.

(Agreeing to play out of turn in stroke play – see Rule 10-2c)

1-4. Points Not Covered by Rules

If any point in dispute is not covered by the Rules, the decision should be made in accordance with equity.

(Editor’s Note: Decisions on Rule 1 appear on USGA.org. The Rules of Golf and Decisions on Rule 1 can also be viewed on the R&A website, randa.org.)

  1. This may be beginning to pinch the embattled crypto broker, already under pressure from a spate of regulatory issues plaguing the digital asset space. Coinbase didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment from Barron’s. Canada boasts the second-largest economy in North America behind the United States, and according to Coinbase, it’s also the “third-most crypto-aware nation.” “Retail crypto traders are likely still flocking to Robinhood in [the third quarter,” Dolev said. “We believe this may be tied to Coinbase’s aggressive price increases for retail traders in recent months. Such increases may prove unsustainable as share losses mount.” Answer is: A collateral Token In your AMP Client Portal, you will see your top-day balance (before any trading activity of the current day). Ampleforth Governance Token has a good use case, well-designed tokenomics, active community and a solid team behind it. All of these are a prerequisite for success and that is why our prediction model sees Ampleforth Governance Token rising up to $13.28 in 2030. The Ampleforth protocol occupies a unique niche in the crypto ecosystem, one that may very well grow significantly in time. Because the AMPL token is less correlated to the price of crypto assets like BTC and ether (ETH), investors can use it to diversify or hedge cryptocurrency portfolios. Further, the AMPL token is an efficient, stable form of collateral for use in decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols. However, the project team’s primary objective is to establish the Ampleforth protocol as an alternative to fiat-denominated finance.

  3. You can organize your contacts into groups to work with them more easily. For example, if you regularly email people in a school group or on your cycling team, you can create a group and address your email to the group instead of each person. Navigate to Google’s Contacts Web page (link in Resources) and log in with your Google username and password. This leads to a pretty terrible auto-complete experience: I’ve got about 100 ‘My Contacts’ members, compared to 3,000 contacts in ‘Other Contacts’; I can only imagine that other Gmail users are in roughly the same boat. Google, unfortunately, doesn’t allow its users to share Google Contact with other Gmail users. Click Contacts. Check the box next to the names you want to add to your contact group. Go to the top of the list and click on the group icon. Now you can create a new group or add it to an existing group. After that, your group will appear in the “My Contacts” section on the left side of the screen.

To use Share Email Contacts effectively, you should organize your contacts into Labels to share them with others. That way, you will not only have a neater contact list but will be able to share groups with the right users. For example, you could share your Staff label with everyone in the company. However, you may want to limit access to the Clients label to those who will have to stay in contact with customers for the foreseeable future. Your Contacts Can Update your Google Address BookIt works like this. Your selected contacts are sent a simple web form via your Gmail account. They can fill-in the missing contact information, press the Submit button and all the entered data is directly added to your Google Contacts. Simple. Unfortunately, there is no dedicated way to remove contact suggestions when sharing photos in the Google Photos app. Previously you could edit your suggestions in the Contacts app but this method too is redundant with the latest version of Photos. Google Photos now uses its own inbuilt contact suggestions system and doesn’t rely on the Contacts app anymore.
