DP World India Championship Returns to Delhi This October

The countdown has officially begun for one of Asia’s biggest golf events as the DP World India Championship returns to the iconic Delhi Golf Club from 15–18 October 2026, bringing another world-class field to India’s capital. The championship, co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), carries a prize fund of US$4 million and forms part of the crucial Back 9 phase of the Race to Dubai.

Following the success of its inaugural edition, the tournament is expected to attract thousands of spectators eager to witness some of the biggest names in world golf. Defending champion Tommy Fleetwood is set to return alongside Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Viktor Hovland, Ryan Fox, Shane Lowry, and European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald, creating one of the strongest fields ever assembled for a professional golf event in India.

Organisers believe the championship further strengthens India’s position on the global golfing calendar while showcasing the country’s growing influence as a destination for elite international sport. The event is expected to deliver four days of world-class competition, vibrant fan engagement and a festival atmosphere at one of Asia’s most historic golf venues.

With tickets expected to be in high demand, golf enthusiasts are encouraged to register their interest early as Delhi prepares to host another memorable week of championship golf this October.
