Dhaka, July 2: The Bangladesh Professional Golfers’ Association (BPGA) formally inaugurated its newly elected Executive Committee for the 2026–2028 term through its 5th Installation Day ceremony held at Army Golf Club in Dhaka. The event featured the official handover of responsibilities and the oath-taking ceremony of the President, Secretary General and members of the Executive Committee.
Mohammad Younus, Chairman of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC, officially assumed office as President of BPGA, while Sifat Ahmed Chaudhuri, Vice Chairman of ABN Formulation and Trading Ltd., took oath as Secretary General. The ceremony was attended by members of the association, professional golfers, invited guests and stakeholders from Bangladesh’s golfing community.
The installation ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter for the association as the newly elected leadership pledged to work collectively for the advancement of professional golf in Bangladesh. Their priorities include strengthening the association’s institutional capacity, expanding competitive opportunities for professionals, promoting player welfare and supporting the long-term development of the game across the country.

The Executive Committee for the 2026–2028 term also includes Dr. Afsha Anis as Vice President, Md. Musa as Joint Secretary and Mohammad Nurul Kabir as Treasurer, alongside ten elected Executive Committee members representing the professional golf fraternity.
Speaking on the occasion, the newly installed office bearers expressed their gratitude to the members for their confidence and reaffirmed their commitment to serving the association with integrity, transparency and professionalism. They emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in further elevating the standards of professional golf in Bangladesh.
The ceremony concluded with a renewed pledge by the Executive Committee to strengthen BPGA’s role in developing professional golfers, organising quality tournaments and contributing to the continued growth of golf both nationally and internationally.
