Rupganj, 22 July 2026: Bangladesh Professional Golfers’ Association (BPGA) professional Badal Hossain emerged as the champion of the Manola Sonali Paper Professional Golfers Tournament 2026, delivering an outstanding performance over three rounds at Jolshiri Golf Club.
Badal secured the title with a three-round aggregate score of 203 (-13), finishing one stroke ahead of Md Razu, who claimed the runner-up position with 204 (-12). Jamal Hossain finished third after posting 205 (-11), making for a closely contested championship.
The tournament concluded with a grand prize distribution ceremony held on Wednesday, 22 July 2026, at Jolshiri Golf Club, Rupganj. The event was attended by distinguished guests, officials of the Bangladesh Professional Golfers’ Association (BPGA), participating golfers, and invited dignitaries.
Lieutenant General Khan Firoz Ahmed, OSP, ndc, afwc, psc (LPR), President of Army Golf Club, attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest and presented the championship trophy to Badal Hossain.
Organized by the Bangladesh Professional Golfers’ Association (BPGA) and sponsored by Manola Sonali Paper & Board Mills Ltd., the tournament featured many of the country’s leading professional golfers competing for top honors. Throughout the three-day event, players showcased exceptional consistency, precision, and competitive spirit.
Badal Hossain maintained remarkable composure throughout the tournament, producing consistent rounds to finish at 13-under-par, edging out a strong field of competitors and adding another prestigious title to his professional career.
