reen Demons won the fifth round of Old Buddies Golf 2026 at Kurmitola Golf Club on September 18 and finished the group stage with the season’s highest points tally, setting up a four-team contest for the OB Legacy Trophy in October.
Vintage Swingers finished second in the September event with a team total of 143, while Shankapotomus took third on 145. Shadow Hunter placed fourth on 149.
El Toro, Par-Tee Animals and Bengal Birdies each returned 150, occupying fifth, sixth and seventh places respectively in the published results. Bunker Busters finished eighth on 152, followed by The Mulligans on 159.
For Green Demons, Rais Uddin Siddique and Lt Gen Md Nazimuddin each recorded a back-nine net score of 34. Mrs Shaila Parvin contributed 36, while Maj Gen Mashud Razzak returned 37. Those scores provided the foundation for the team’s September success.
The round also completed the five-event group stage, which began in May. Across four groups, teams accumulated points according to their position in each monthly event, with the group winners qualifying for the OB Legacy Trophy contest.
Green Demons topped Group D with 19.5 points, five clear of Bunker Busters. Their record included four first-place finishes within the group and a shared placing in July, making them the leading points earners heading into the final.
Shadow Hunters secured Group C with 18 points, finishing two ahead of Vintage Swingers. Although Vintage Swingers placed second overall in September, their season tally left them behind the group leaders and assigned to the Plate competition.
Master Slicers won Group B with 17.5 points after taking maximum group points in each of the first four rounds. Par-Tee Animals finished second on 13.5, narrowly ahead of Bengal Birdies on 13.
Group A produced the closest contest for qualification. El Toro finished with 14 points, one ahead of Prowling Tigers, while Shankapotomous ended the group stage third on 12.5.
The October final will therefore bring together El Toro, Master Slicers, Shadow Hunters and Green Demons in the OB Legacy Trophy group. The remaining teams have been assigned to the Plate group.
With qualification settled, the season now moves to its decisive stage. Green Demons carry the strongest points record into the final, but the trophy remains to be decided.
