The 39th Bangladesh Amateur Golf Championship 2025 Concludes

The 39th Bangladesh Amateur Golf Championship 2025 was concluded at the Kurmitola Golf Club in Dhaka. The Bangladesh Golf Federation organized the four-day championship, with Vivo Bangladesh as the sponsor. Players from eight countries, including Bangladesh participated in this tournament.

General Waker-Uz-Zaman, SBP, OSP, SGP, PSC, Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh and President of the Bangladesh Golf Federation attended the prize-giving ceremony of the 39th Bangladesh Amateur Golf Championship 2025 as the chief guest.

Sharif Hossain won the men’s singles title after a tight contest. He finished with a total of 300 strokes, 12 over par. Abu Bakar Siddiq also returned the same score, but Sharif claimed the title on countback. Abu Bakar finished second, while Munna Mia took third place with 14 over par.

Sonia Akter claimed the women’s singles crown with a score of 18 over par. Nasima Akter finished second after ending the tournament at 25 over par. Rinki Akter placed third with a score of 33 over par.

In the men’s team event, Bangladesh ‘C’ team became champions. Md Abdul Qader and Sharif Hossain formed the winning pair. Bangladesh ‘A’ team finished runners-up, with Abu Bakar Siddiq and Shafiqul Islam.

The women’s team title went to Bangladesh Women ‘A’ team, featuring Sonia Akter and Rinki Akter. Bangladesh Women ‘B’ team, made up of Nasima Akter and Jaima Binte Hossain, finished second.

Senior officials from the federation, representatives of the sponsor, and guests from the Ministry of Youth and Sports attended the closing ceremony.

The championship once again highlighted the steady development of amateur golf in Bangladesh and reinforced the federation’s ongoing commitment to nurturing competitive talent at the national level.
