Thailand’s Sadom Kaewkanjana secured a dramatic victory at the 2025 Kolon Korea Open, ending a three-year wait for another win on the Asian Tour with a final-round 70 at the challenging Dunes Course of La Vie Est Belle Golf Club. Finishing at 7-under-par, Sadom edged out fellow Thai Poom Saksansin by two strokes to claim his third career Asian Tour title. The win also earns Sadom a coveted spot in The Open Championship 2025 at Royal Portrush, as the Korea Open is part of the Open Qualifying Series, and moves him to the top of the Asian Tour Order of Merit, surpassing Carlos Ortiz and Ollie Schniederjans. Korean golfer Songgyu Yoo finished third, while Hong Kong’s Taichi Kho fired the week’s lowest round, a 64, to tie for fourth alongside Zimbabwe’s Scott Vincent and promising Korean amateur Minsu Kim. This victory is Sadom’s first since his 2022 Singapore Open triumph and reflects his strong comeback after multiple top-five finishes and runner-up spots in recent seasons. The Asian Tour now heads to the International Series Morocco at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam from July 3–6, continuing an exciting season for Asia’s top golfers.
