Rahim Hossain and Soniya Akter Crowned Champions at National Amateur Ranking Tournament 2026
Dhaka, June 16: Rahim Hossain and Soniya Akter emerged victorious in the Men’s and Women’s categories respectively as the National Amateur Ranking Tournament 2026 (Phase 1) concluded successfully at Jolshiri Golf Club.

The three-day tournament brought together some of Bangladesh’s most promising amateur golfers, providing a competitive platform for players to showcase their talent, discipline, and sportsmanship while earning valuable national ranking points.
Rahim Hossain delivered a consistent performance throughout the tournament to secure the men’s title, while Soniya Akter demonstrated impressive form to claim top honours in the women’s division. Their victories further strengthen their standing among the country’s leading amateur golfers.

The Prize Giving Ceremony was attended by Major General Md Mashud Razzaq (Retd), Vice President (Operation) of the Bangladesh Golf Federation, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Brigadier General Md Sayeed Siddiki (Retd), General Secretary of the Bangladesh Golf Federation, welcomed the participants, officials, and distinguished guests.
The tournament once again highlighted the growing depth of talent within Bangladesh’s amateur golf community and reinforced the Bangladesh Golf Federation’s commitment to nurturing future champions through a structured ranking system.
