Golfer Jamal Hossain clinched the title at the AGC Professional Golf Tournament 2025, delivering a spectacular final round to secure a one-stroke victory in a fiercely competitive field.
Jamal carded a sensational 64 in the final round, the lowest score of the tournament, following opening rounds of 37 and 36, bringing his total to 137, finishing seven-under-par overall. His composed and aggressive play on the final day helped him leapfrog the leaderboard and seal yet another milestone in his professional career.
Close on his heels was Md Muaj, who also showcased remarkable consistency with rounds of 36, 36, and a closing 66 to finish at 138, just one stroke behind Jamal. Rising talents Md Somrat Sikdar and Mohammad Sayum shared third place with totals of 140, demonstrating that the next generation of Bangladeshi golfers are ready to challenge the elite.
The three-day event, organized under the auspices of the Bangladesh Professional Golfers’ Association (BPGA), featured 42 professional golfers from across the country. The challenging layout of Army Golf Club, paired with variable weather conditions, tested both mental resilience and shot-making ability.
The leaderboard remained tightly packed throughout the tournament, but it was Jamal’s final round brilliance that ultimately set him apart. His composed demeanor and strategic play in the closing holes underscored his experience and dominance in the local professional circuit.
