The 4th Old Buddies Golf Tournament 2026 was held at Kurmitola Golf Club in Dhaka on Friday, with Green Demons emerging as champions.
The tournament brought together members of the Old Buddies golfing community for a day of competitive golf, friendship and camaraderie.
Green Demons produced a strong team performance to claim the championship title in the fourth edition of the tournament.
Old Buddies Golf has developed into a regular platform for golfers united by their passion for the sport. Beyond competition, the group seeks to foster friendship, sportsmanship and fellowship among its members while contributing to a vibrant golfing culture.
The occasion also carried a special gesture of appreciation as the Old Buddy Group honoured two long-serving caddies of Kurmitola Golf Club — Abdul Jalil (Caddy No 5) and Md Sakir (Caddy No 15). The recognition highlighted the contribution of caddies to the game and their longstanding service to golfers at the club.
The initiative reflected the Old Buddies’ emphasis on recognising people who work behind the scenes and remain an integral part of the golfing community.
In the previous Old Buddies tournament held at Jolshiri Golf Club, EL Toro emerged as champions, while Col Rashed Humayun was named Best Player after carding an impressive five-under-par.
With Green Demons taking the honours at Kurmitola Golf Club, the fourth tournament added another chapter to the Old Buddies initiative, combining competitive golf with the fellowship and mutual respect at the heart of the game.
The tournament concluded with the recognition of the leading performers and the celebration of Green Demons’ championship triumph.
