On July 11, 2025, the NotreDamians Golfers Club successfully hosted the “Trees for Better Environment Golf Tournament 2025” organised by NotreDamian Golfers Club at the serene and picturesque Jolshiri Golf Club Ltd with participation of 30 passionate NotreDamian golfers
. The amazing tournament blended the love for golf with a powerful message to minimize CO2 gas emissions to protect climate change .
The day began with a warm welcome and tee-offs from 7 : 30 am. at rainy & cloudy skies. Players enjoyed a competitive round of golf across the beautifully maintained course of Jolshiri, which perfectly reflected the tournament’s environmental theme. The competition was friendly yet spirited, showcasing excellent sportsmanship and camaraderie among participants.
Following the game, everyone gathered for a hearty breakfast, where discussions about the importance of environmental conservation added meaning to the morning.
The Chairman of NotreDamians Golfers Club Engr M A K Salim & Chief Executive Officer of Jolshiri Golf Culb distributed trophies , prizes and recognition awarded in a cheerful environment with participation NotreDamians golfers & others.
The highlight of the event was the tree plantation ceremony, where participants, along with Engr Salim, Maj Nazmul(retd), Mr Mahbub, Mr Morshed, Mr Azad and other valued members of the NotreDamians Golfers Club, planted saplings within the club premises. This symbolic act reinforced the tournament’s core message: combining sport with sustainability.
The event concluded on a hopeful note, leaving both players and organizers inspired to continue promoting a greener planet through community efforts of NotreDamian Golfers Club with special thanks to Jolshiri Golf Club officials including Maj.Nazmul ( retd)
