Siddik and Sonia Crowned National Amateur Ranking Tournament 2025

The National Amateur Ranking Tournament 2025 concluded at Kurmitola Golf Club organized by Bangladesh Golf Federation. The three-day tournament teed off on 5th October and ended on 7th October, brought together 72 amateur golfers from 17 golf clubs across the country, making it one of the most competitive editions in recent years.

Country’s top amateurs displayed their skill, focus, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. After three rounds of intense play, Snk Abu Bakar Siddik emerged as the men’s individual champion with a commanding performance, finishing eight strokes ahead of his closest competitor, while in the women’s division, Snk Sonia Akter secured the top spot with a consistent and confident display that placed her five shots clear of the field.

Brig Gen A T M Anisuzzaman Khan, Bir Protik, Chairman, Tournament Committee, Bangladesh Golf Federation attended the prize-giving ceremony as the chief guest and handed over the trophies to the champions.

The prize-giving ceremony took place on the afternoon of October 7, where Lieutenant General (Retd.) A.T.M. Anisul Haque, Bir Protik, Chairman of the Tournament Committee of the Bangladesh Golf Federation, attended as the chief guest and handed over the trophies to the champions. Brig General Md. Sanaul Haque, (Retd.), Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee, along with senior officials from the Bangladesh Golf Federation and Kurmitola Golf Club, were also present at the ceremony. Their presence reflected the Federation’s continued commitment to promoting and developing amateur golf in the country.
