The winning momentum shows no signs of slowing for Sergio García’s Fireballs GC and Torque GC Captain Joaquín Niemann.
At LIV Golf Singapore presented by Aramco, Niemann delivered another stunning performance to secure his second individual victory in three tournaments, while Fireballs GC claimed their third consecutive team title—the longest team winning streak since 4Aces GC won four straight in 2022.
Niemann, the 26-year-old Chilean, fired a bogey-free 6-under 65 in the final round, finishing five shots clear of the field. His precise and composed play at Sentosa Golf Club’s demanding 7,420-yard Serapong Course not only secured his fourth LIV Golf title but also propelled him to the top of the Individual Champion points standings.
Reflecting on his stellar round, Niemann said,
“Today was one of those days—everything went my way.”
With this victory, Niemann strengthens his bid for the LIV Golf exemption into the 2025 U.S. Open, a goal he now aims to maintain over the next two months.
The Fireballs GC, despite a setback with García battling bronchitis and a high fever just before the tournament, staged an incredible comeback. García, last week’s individual winner in Hong Kong, managed an even-par finish, but his teammates—led by David Puig (solo fourth at 10-under)—rose to the occasion, overturning an eight-shot deficit to clinch victory.
With this win, Fireballs GC now have their sights set on matching the all-time LIV Golf team streak when they head to LIV Golf Miami (April 4-6).
“We’re the only ones who can keep the streak alive,” said García. “Hopefully, we’ll keep it going.”
With both Niemann and the Fireballs in top form, LIV Golf’s next event in Miami promises to be another thrilling showdown.
