France’s Oihan Guillamoundeguy secured his first HotelPlanner Tour victory with a composed three-shot win at the Irish Challenge, held at Killeen Castle.
The 20-year-old carded a final-round two-under-par 70 to finish on 11-under for the week, ahead of Switzerland’s Ronan Kleu on eight-under. The win moves Guillamoundeguy from 15th to sixth in the Road to Mallorca Rankings, boosting his chances of earning promotion to the DP World Tour, where the top 20 at season’s end will graduate.
With his brother on the bag throughout the 2025 season, Guillamoundeguy credited their teamwork for the triumph.
“I’m so proud of myself,” he said. “Today wasn’t easy, but I managed it well with my brother. He’s doing an amazing job and I love him so much. This course was a great test, and I’m happy with how I played.”
Starting three shots behind overnight leader Jeppe Kristian Andersen, Guillamoundeguy birdied the second, sixth, and eighth before a decisive three-shot swing on the ninth where he birdied and Andersen double-bogeyed gave him a commanding lead at the turn. A bogey on 13 was his only blemish on the back nine as he parred his way to victory.
Andersen finished third at seven-under, with Ireland’s Robert Moran claiming fourth and securing the Christy O’Connor Jnr Memorial Trophy. Moran also earned a place in the upcoming Amgen Irish Open at The K Club.
Italy’s Stefano Mazzoli, Ireland’s Paul McBride, Switzerland’s Benjamin Rusch, Denmark’s Gustav Frimodt, and England’s Will Enefer shared fifth on five-under.
The top five in the Road to Mallorca Rankings remain unchanged, with Joshua Berry of England still in the No. 1 spot. Mazzoli’s tied fifth moved him into the final promotion place. The Tour now heads to Finland for the Vierumäki Finnish Challenge from August 14–17.
