Gøth-Rasmussen Claims Dramatic Victory at Danish Golf Challenge

Jonathan Gøth-Rasmussen secured a thrilling second career HotelPlanner Tour title with a closing birdie at the Danish Golf Challenge, finishing one shot clear of Scotland’s Calum Fyfe at Bogense Golf Club.

The 27-year-old Dane carded a final round 67 (-5) to complete a 72-hole total of 19 under par (66-70-66-67), edging past Fyfe, who had led after the first three rounds. Gøth-Rasmussen, who won his first title in Cadiz in 2024, began the final day three strokes behind but surged forward with birdies on the 3rd, 5th, and 9th holes.

He added further gains on 12 and 14, pulling two clear before Fyfe responded with a birdie on 17. Both players found the 18th green, but Gøth-Rasmussen held his nerve and sank a clutch birdie putt to clinch the win by one.

“It feels very nice. It was a tough grind out there today,” said Gøth-Rasmussen. “The putt on 18 was the highlight. I stayed focused and delivered when it mattered.”

The putt, described as “tricky” due to a potential downhill comeback, just crept into the cup. “I thought it was short, but it dropped,” he admitted.

With Liam Nolan (T3, -16) and Julien Sale applying pressure, the Dane stayed aggressive on the back nine, especially on the par fives. “I kept an eye on the leaderboard and knew what I had to do,” he said.

Gøth-Rasmussen, son of former HotelPlanner Tour winner Jacob Rasmussen, was cheered on by family through all four rounds. “It’s been a tough start to the year, but I’m excited to build from here,” he said.

Calum Fyfe finished solo second at -18, while Nolan and Christofer Blomstrand followed closely in third and fourth.
