Golfing activities suspended nationwide as nation mourns

As part of a united gesture of respect following the tragic aviation disaster involving students and teachers of Uttara Milestone School & College yesterday, the Bangladesh Golf Federation (BGF) has announced the suspension of today’s all golfing activities across the country on the National Mourning Day.

The heartbreaking incident, which claimed numerous young and promising lives, has cast a pall of sorrow across the nation. In recognition of the scale of this loss, the Government of Bangladesh has declared a National Mourning Day, calling upon the nation to reflect, grieve, and stand united with the affected families.

In solidarity, BGF has issued an official directive to all golf clubs nationwide to pause all tournaments, games, and related events on the day of mourning. The Federation’s message underscored the collective responsibility of the golfing community to honor the memory of the departed and support those left in grief.

At TheGolfHouse magazine, we join the entire golfing fraternity in expressing our deepest condolences. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the bereaved families, the school community, and all those affected by this devastating tragedy.
