English duo Dan Brown and Danny Willett confirm return for 2025 Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo, scheduled to take place at the iconic Belfry from August 21–24, 2025.This year’s edition of the Betfred British Masters holds a crucial spot on the DP World Tour’s Race to Dubai, marking the beginning of the season’s “Back 9” and serving as the final opportunity for players to secure an automatic place on Luke Donald’s Ryder Cup team.
Brown heads to The Belfry in fine form, having recently claimed his second DP World Tour title at the BMW International Open. “I’m absolutely buzzing for the Betfred British Masters,” said Brown. “It’s one of those events you grow up watching as an English golfer, and to now be playing it, especially after winning again on Tour, is a really special feeling. The Belfry is such an iconic venue, and I can’t wait for the test of the Brabazon.”
Willett, who famously won the 2016 Masters and twice hosted the British Masters in 2021 and 2022, also shared his excitement about returning to the tournament. “The Betfred British Masters is a tournament that means a lot to me,” Willett said. “Hosting it in 2021 and 2022 was a huge honor, and I’ve always felt incredible support from the fans. I passed the baton to Sir Nick a couple of years ago, and he’s taken the event from strength to strength. I’ve seen firsthand how much effort goes into hosting such a major tournament, so credit to him and Lady Lindsay for continuing to elevate the experience for players and spectators alike.”
The field for the 2025 edition is shaping up to be one of the strongest in recent memory. 2022 U.S. Open Champion Matt Fitzpatrick, defending champion Niklas Nørgaard, Ryder Cup Captain Luke Donald, and U.S. Team Vice-Captain Brandt Snedeker making his debut are all confirmed to tee it up.
With its rich legacy as one of the DP World Tour’s most historic events, the Betfred British Masters returns to The Belfry for the 22nd time. The Sutton Coldfield venue first hosted a Tour event in 1979, when the legendary Seve Ballesteros triumphed at the Lada English Golf Classic.
Tickets for the 2025 Betfred British Masters are now on sale, with General Admission, Ticket+, and Premium Experiences selling quickly. Fans are encouraged to secure their spots early to witness world-class golf at one of the sport’s most celebrated venues.
