The BPGA New Year Cup Golf Tournament 2026 was held at Kurmitola Golf Club (KGC) from 4 to 6 January to mark the celebration of the New Year.
The tournament was sponsored by the Bangladesh Professional Golfers’ Association (BPGA). The closing and prize-giving ceremony of the tournament was held at the Kurmitola Golf club premises on 6th January.
In the amateur group category, Md Sharif Hossain emerged as the champion, finishing the tournament at 19 over par. Md Dulal Hossain secured second position with a score of 1 over par. In the professional category, Md Sazib Ali clinched the championship title, completing the event at 1 under par.
Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque, Commandant, National Defence College and Senior Vice President of the Bangladesh Golf Federation, attended the prize-giving ceremony as the chief guest and handed over trophies to the winners.
CEO of Kurmitola Golf Club, the General Manager of the Bangladesh Golf Federation, BPGA President Major General Md. Masud Razzak (Retd), BPGA Secretary General Mostafiz Rahman, along with other distinguished officials and members of the golfing community were also present at the prize giving ceremony of the BPGA New Year Cup Golf Tournament 2026.
