Apes Hill Barbados enters 2026 on a strong footing, following a year of wide-ranging international recognition that has further consolidated its reputation as one of the Caribbean’s most distinguished golf and lifestyle communities.
Throughout 2025, the resort featured prominently across several respected global rankings and awards, reflecting the strength of its championship golf, its natural setting and the broader lifestyle experience offered to members, residents and guests. Together, the honors reinforce Apes Hill’s growing stature on the international stage.
Among the key highlights, Apes Hill made its debut in Golf World’s Top 100 World Resorts, emerging as the only Caribbean newcomer on the influential list. The ranking evaluates destinations on overall resort experience, recognizing places that appeal equally to golfers and non-golfers.
The championship courses also maintained strong international form, securing a top-ten position in Golfweek’s Top 50 Courses across Mexico, the Caribbean, the Atlantic Islands and Central America. In addition, Apes Hill was voted among USA Today’s 10Best Caribbean Golf Courses for 2026, a distinction driven by reader and golfer feedback.
Family-focused golf at Apes Hill also earned global recognition. The Little Apes par-3 course was named Best 9-Hole Course in the Caribbean at the 2025 World Golf Awards. Designed for players of all ages and abilities, the course has quickly become a central feature of the community’s relaxed and inclusive golf culture.
Further validation came from Golf Inc., which ranked Apes Hill 18th among the world’s best new golf course developments of the past decade. Meanwhile, Links Golf listed Barbados among the Top 10 International Golf Destinations for 2026, underlining the island’s rising profile within the global golf tourism market.
“These awards matter because they come from a broad and independent range of voices – golfers, editors and industry experts,” said Sunil Chatrani, Executive Chairman of Apes Hill Barbados. “They recognize not only the quality of the course, but the experience of being here. For our members and owners, it confirms that Apes Hill is being measured internationally at the level we believe it deserves.”
The recognition has coincided with increased interest from prospective members and homeowners, particularly from North America, attracted by Apes Hill’s blend of championship golf, understated luxury and community-led lifestyle.
Competitive golf continues to play a key role at the resort, with the Barbados Legends tournament, hosted by Ian Woosnam, set to return in April 2026 for a third consecutive year. The event brings elite competition to the island while reinforcing Apes Hill’s international standing.
Located 1,000 feet above sea level in Barbados’ Central Highlands, Apes Hill offers a lifestyle shaped by calm, space and balance. Residents and visitors move easily between golf, wellness activities, racquet sports and coastal leisure at the beach club, a rhythm that defines the resort’s appeal.
As the new year begins, Apes Hill Barbados moves forward with measured confidence, focused on maintaining high standards while welcoming those who already call it home, those who return year after year, and those newly discovering the community.
