Army Golf Club and Kurmitola Golf Club tied for the first time ever in the history of federation cup golf tournament. The 9th Dr. Fazlul Haque Colorectal Hospital Limited (DFCH) Federation Cup GAGC & KGC Tied First Time at Federation Cup Golf Tournament 2025 concludes with a closing ceremony at Kurmitola Golf under the supervision of Bangladesh Golf Federation (BGF).
This four-day competition featuring golfers from across the country. A total of 133 amateur golfers of 17 clubs and 40 professionals from 10 clubs took part in the tournament.
In the professional segment, hosts Kurmitola Golf Club clinched the championship title. In the Federation Cup’s amateur category, Kurmitola Golf Club and Army Golf Club were jointly crowned champions. Kurmitola Golf Club emerged winners in the women’s amateur division, while Army Golf Club topped the junior category.
The prize-giving ceremony was graced by Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque, OSP, BSP, ndc, hdmc, psc, Commandant of the National Defence College and Senior Vice -President of the Bangladesh Golf Federation (BFG), who attended as the chief guest.
Major General AKM Abdullahil Baqui (Retd), Former Vice President of the Bangladesh Golf Federation, and Major General Md Masud Razzak (Retd), President of the Bangladesh Professional Golfers’ Association (BPGA) and members of the BGF Executive Committee, were present as special guests along with other federation executives.
While delivering the concluding speech, Chief Guest Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque encouraged the spirit of the golfers who participated in the tournament and motivated them to play better than the star golfers of Bangladesh Siddikur Rahman and Jamal Hossain. He also mentioned this 9th Federation Cup Golf Tournament 2025 as the beginning of the golf session of 2025-2026 and the golfers should play better with excitement, victory and celebration.
After the prize giving session all the champions and runner ups came on the stage for participating in a group photo session with the chief guest and special guests of the tournament.
