23rd Square Cup Golf Tournament Culminates at Kurmitola
The 23rd Square Cup Golf Tournament 2025 concluded at Kurmitola Golf Club (KGC) with a grand prize-giving ceremony, marking the successful completion of the prestigious three-day event. The tournament, which saw the participation of approximately 650 golfers from various clubs across the country,
The tournament was inaugurated by Lieutenant General Mizanur Rahman Shameem, BP, SBP, OSP, BAM, ndc, psc, Chief of General Staff, Bangladesh Army, who attended as the Chief Guest. The opening ceremony was held in the morning at KGC, where the tee-off was witnessed by esteemed dignitaries, including Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque, OSP, BSP, ndc, hdmc, psc, Commandant of the National Defence College and Vice President of Kurmitola Golf Club, Mizanur Rahman, Executive Director of Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Brigadier General Md Towhid Hossain, SGP, ndc, psc, Club Captain of KGC, Brigadier General Abidur Reza Khan (Retd.), Tournament Director of KGC, Colonel Md Shahidul Haque (Retd.), Chief Executive Officer of KGC, and Colonel S M Sazzad Hossain, BSP, SPP, PPM, afwc, psc, Club Secretary of KGC. Also present were Prof. Shahin Mahbuba Haque, Lady Captain of KGC, executive committee members, representatives from Square Group, high-ranking civil and military officials, and other distinguished guests.
The tournament concluded with a grand awards ceremony, where Lieutenant General Mizanur Rahman Shameem once again graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, distributing prizes to the winners. The championship witnessed outstanding performances, with Mr. Sajidul Islam emerging as the Champion, Mr. Asif Sagir securing the Runner-up position, and Mrs. Jin Sook Yoon claiming the Ladies’ Winner title.
The 23rd Square Cup Golf Tournament 2025 not only showcased competitive golfing excellence but also fostered camaraderie among participants, reinforcing Kurmitola Golf Club’s reputation as a premier golfing destination in Bangladesh.
