Brigadier General Sayeed Siddique’s reflections capture the essence of TheGolfHouse’s journey one of dedication, leadership, and a deep commitment to promoting golf in Bangladesh. His words reaffirm what TheGolfHouse stands for a legacy built on passion, community, and a love for the game.
What was your first impression when TheGolfHouse was launched in 2015?
Once it was launched, I had mixed feelings because in Bangladesh we did not have any specific or dedicated golf-related magazine. TheGolfHouse came as a pioneering initiative that showed the path forward. Today, several other publications have followed its example. It has been a fantastic journey indeed.
How do you view the role of TheGolfHouse in the media landscape of Bangladesh?
TheGolfHouse has reached people’s minds through its presentation, knowledge-sharing, and the way it portrays golf to the general audience. Before TheGolfHouse, there was no platform to see or understand golf in this country, even though golf had been played here since the 1960s. The magazine made the game more visible, relatable, and understood by the public.
What mebmories or moments with TheGolfHouse stand out the most to you?
Its beginning, its journey, and now its successful completion of 10 years of publication. I feel proud to have been connected to TheGolfHouse from the very start and to witness its growth into a trusted publication in the country’s golf community.

How would you describe your journey with TheGolfHouse over the past decade?
I am very proud to be associated with TheGolfHouse from the beginning. I was one of the pioneers who believed in its vision and mission. Seeing it evolve over the years has been truly rewarding. TheGolfHouse has become part of my own golfing story.
How has TheGolfHouse contributed to leadership, inclusivity, and professionalism in golf media?
Leadership and professionalism in golf have been beautifully portrayed by this magazine. Over the last ten years, TheGolfHouse has inspired young people to take up golf and view it as a sport of confidence, discipline, and character. It has also added inclusivity to the sport by reaching new audiences and promoting the game beyond elite circles.
How do you assess the collaboration between TheGolfHouse and institutions like the Bangladesh Golf Federation and the country’s golf clubs?
TheGolfHouse has played a significant role in connecting the golf federation’s activities with the general public. The steps taken by the federation are often highlighted through this magazine, ensuring people stay informed. While there are other platforms, I believe TheGolfHouse leaves a lasting impression among readers, something that remains in the public’s mind for a long time.
What initiatives by TheGolfHouse do you believe have created the most lasting impact?
I would mention two aspects.
First, TheGolfHouse has showcased the golf courses of Bangladesh to the general people, making them aware of the country’s golfing infrastructure.
Second, it has highlighted talented players and personalities who have shaped the game. These portrayals have inspired many to engage with golf both professionally and recreationally.
What advice would you offer to the next generation of golf media professionals in Bangladesh?
Not only golf media professionals, but all those related to this sport should maintain high standards of coverage. They should work to uphold golf’s values and inspire more young people to take interest in the game. Media professionals, in particular, should promote the right image of golf through accurate reporting and thoughtful storytelling.
What direction or new features would you like to see TheGolfHouse explore in the next decade?
I would like to see more coverage of in-house and national tournaments, as well as increased focus on international events. Sharing stories of Bangladeshi golfers competing abroad will motivate the next generation and strengthen our presence in the global golf community.
What message would you like to share with TheGolfHouse readers, partners, and the broader golf community on its 10th anniversary?
Since TheGolfHouse has successfully completed one decade of publication, it has established its credibility as the country’s leading golf and lifestyle magazine. I request all golfers and enthusiasts to continue supporting this platform. Let’s keep promoting golf together so that the next generation can inherit a stronger, more vibrant golfing culture.
