The Rangpur Golf and Country Club (RGCC) was officially inaugurated through a colourful ceremony at the Ghaghot riverbank in the city on January 15, 2018.
The new golf course was inaugurated in presence of vibrant and colorful guests and golfers from across the country.
Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Public Administration HN Ashikur Rahman MP, Rangpur Area Commander, GOC of 66 Infantry Division and President of RGCC Major General Md Masud Razzaque, Mayor of Rangpur Md Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa, Representative of Runner Group Brigadier General (Retd) Selim Akhter, Vice-president and Managing Director of Evergreen Products Factory (BD) Limited at Uttara Export Processing Zone Mr Filex YC Chang were present on the occasion.
The 9-hole course, which is planned to be upgraded to an 18-hole course over time, has been designed by BGF’s ex-secretary general and Vice president of RGCC Brig Gen Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah.

I think this golf club will be a great success in promoting golf in North Bengal.
