We take issues relating to users of our website extremely seriously. We will respect your personal information at all times.

We will use all reasonable measures to safeguard your data but please note we cannot guarantee that any information transmitted over the Internet is completely secure.

From time to time you will be asked to submit personal information about yourself in order to receive or use services on www.thegolfhousebd.com.

Such services include membership, our e-mail newsletter, competitions, Fantasy Golf and surveys.

By entering your details in the fields requested you agree that TheGolfHouse and www.thegolfhousebd.com can provide you with the services you select.

We may supply statistics about the use of our site to third parties, but these statistics will not directly identify you.

Cookies

When you visit www.thegolfhousebd.com, the pages that you view are downloaded to your machine. An item called a cookie is also downloaded to your machine.

Almost all websites do this: cookies allow website publishers to carry out a variety of actions, such as determining whether you are a frequent visitor or a first-time viewer. This enables us to make your repeated visits to www.thegolfhousebd.com more convenient.

On a repeat visit, www.thegolfhousebd.com looks for the cookie left on your last visit.

Cookies are text files that identify your computer to our server.

Users have the opportunity to set their computers to accept all cookies, to notify them when a cookie is issued, or not to receive cookies at any time.

By selecting the latter you may be ineligible to receive certain personalized services that require the use of cookies.

E-mail Security

TheGolfHouse pass your e-mail address to a third party without your explicit permission.

When we want your permission to do this, we will provide a tick box enabling you to give this permission (or ‘opt in’).

Entering Competitions

We generally offer suppliers of competition prizes the opportunity to send ONE EMAIL ONLY to all golfers that enter ‘their’ competition.

We hope that you will not mind this: it is an obvious benefit for the prize supplier, and it helps us to arrange a greater number of prizes for the website.

However, we will ONLY pass your email address to the prize supplier if you tick the box at the foot of each competition entry page.

If you tick the box, the prize supplier may send you a follow-up e-mail. In this e-mail, the prize supplier may ask if you want regular e-mails from them. You are welcome to accept their offer, but you are under no obligation to do so.

The prize supplier must provide you with an ‘unsubscribe’ option in their first follow-up e-mail. If they do not do this, you are welcome to notify TheGolfHouse of this fact by e-mailing.

It is the winner’s responsibility to contact us within 28 days of their details being posted to claim their prize.

Failure to contact us in the time limit will automatically lead to the competition being re-drawn.
