The four day long 1st Bashundhara Open 2017 has started at the Savar golf club in capital today, the tournament will be concluded on 25th May 2017 through prize giving ceremony to professional golfers. With the patronage of Bashundhara Group organized by Bangladesh Professional Golfers Association (BPGA).
Today is the first round of this tournament and professional golfers like Muaj scoring -7 is leading; Ismail -3 is on the second position.
About 76 professional golfers are playing in this exciting tournament.

BPGA:
BPGA is established in 2008 as an ‘association’ in order to promote and elevate the interest and standard of the game of golf and provide support and playing opportunities to all professional golfers of Bangladesh.
It is registered in ‘Registrar of Joint Stock ‘ as an association under the company act 1994 (section 28 of the act ). The association is also duly approved by the Ministry of Commerce and recognized by BGF and ‘Ministry of Sports’ etc.
Savar golf club:
Savar golf club is 18 hole golf course situated in the cantonment on the main road passing through Savar. Well kept and large club house.
It is a great initiative taken for the future of Golf.
